The general responsibilities of the different positions are as follows:
The Overnight Housing intern will live in Broward Residence Hall and will supervise the nighttime hours of orientation sessions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising campus resource/involvement fair, dinner rotations to the dining hall, room check-in and check-out, nighttime advising, and managing the 350 students living in the residence hall per session.
The Academics intern is responsible for scheduling all one-on-one advising appointments between incoming students and their advisors for each session. They will assist with logistics and troubleshooting while managing orientation leaders and the student coordinator at the Academic Advising Center. The Academics intern will also keep one-on-one appointments running on time and as efficiently as possible.
LOGISTICS AND FAMILIES
The Logistics intern is a flexible position that is responsible for managing the student orientation leaders and student coordinators during sessions to ensure efficiency. Their responsibilities include assisting with the working with the family program as well as campus resource/involvement fair, dinner rotations to the dining hall, room check-in rotations, and evening skits.
