This checklist contains all important tasks that should be completed prior to attending PaCE Preview. There are also a couple of extra steps for those overachievers looking to get ahead start after their Preview.

As a new student, you’ll need a UF identification number (UFID) to perform many necessary functions.

VISIT: it.ufl.edu/ufid

A few days after you are admitted you will receive an automated email that will prompt you to create your Gator digital identity. This account name is public and is used as your access to most UF information systems as well as will become your UF email address. You only get one opportunity, so make it count.

ACTIVATE: Link sent via email

UF Exchange is the email service for our university and is the best way to stay in contact with your professors, advisors and others who are here to help you stay organized.

Financial aid is awarded on a first come, first served basis. The priority deadline was December 15th. If you have not applied yet, apply as early as possible to be considered for the most and best aid available.

COMPLETE THE FAFSA: fafsa.gov

Mail your signed PaCE contract and $200 tuition deposit in the form of a check or money order postmarked by May 1. This deposit is nonrefundable and will be applied to your UF account.

Preview is your official orientation to UF and is the first tradition of every Gator. It is an on campus experience that introduces students to academic, social and community opportunities. This is when students will register for their classes. Registration details will be sent via email in February 2017.

Every new UF student is required to show proof of having health insurance and certain immunizations before getting to campus.

ON CAMPUS HOUSING

  1. Complete the application and submit the $25 nonrefundable housing application fee. Applying does NOT guarantee an offer of residence hall space.

  2. Once you complete your housing contract sign up for

RoomSync to connect with other new students. Room sign up information will be sent in April for new residents.

There is more to your first year than meets the eye.  While Preview will help you hit the ground running there is more to accomplish.  From academics to social events take time to explore what the New Student and Family Programs does to ensure that you make UF your home.
